Week Six and Seven (Easter break)

During Easter, I wanted to use this time to get a lot of written work done and with that, I could come back to college and focus solely on my songs and think about what I think is best I do going forward with 6 weeks to go.

The first I was set on a two song EP, thinking that two songs would be easier and somewhat of a challenge from my last final project in my first year and I am seeing the same act play out the time catching up and feeling I won’t have anything to show for, so the idea of retreating to 1 song is leaving my mind with a sense of confidence now I don’t have to worry about juggling two full songs with lyrics, mixing and mastering yet to do. It is safer and leaves me with enough time to do what I want to do without the burden of time at my heels.

Along with cutting the 2 song ep to 1, I have thought about just making an instrumental track I have done one before but not shown one so maybe this year I can focus on production and not lyrics and vocals but my instrumental. There is a long I could have done but I have to think about what I will do now not what I could have done.

JOURNAL

The first week I had to review the last work things I had accomplished over the past couple of weeks and decided whether or not I should change my plan and decide on a walk around or continue the path I am heading and try to finish two songs with vocals and lyrics. This helped a lot to decide to change my plan and go for a one song single and try and focus all my attention on one thing rather than two things and hoping I can keep them up to a good level with lyrics and vocals.

In the second week, I had a bit of a break from work but whenever I came back to it I normally ended up just doing some weekly digital space work like research, Weekly evaluations, target sheets and mentioning my change and new idea.
