Vocals/lyrics

A significant part of the project that had to be fixed was lyric writing and vocals I realised that near the end of the project I had to decide whether or not I was going to record vocals for the track or if I was going to make an instrumental track, in the end, I decided to save time I had to abandon the idea of adding vocals.

Making vocals would complete the song, but I knew that if I had made the lyrics and got someone to sing them, I would be sacrificing a lot of time for mixing, mastering, artwork, and maybe adding more details to make the song sound.

At first, I planned to have a singer who I wanted to be Lucy she has a powerful voice and I wanted to work with it. I wanted to think like a producer in this project and work with the talented people in my class on my own independent project, but trying to book Lucy always got postponed with either lack of written work or not a finished song.

Then became the trouble of creating lyrics. I pushed back my project so much that making lyrics had to wait for a while then the stress of making good lyrics came and time piled up on the task seemed impossible as the weeks flew by.

Adding vocals to the track would improve the quality so much but with everything needing work I couldn’t possibly do it. Deciding to not go through without vocals was the smartest option and saved a lot of time to add finer details to the song.

So after that, I thought about where I could take this project with no singer or vocals so I had the idea of creating an instrumental track, I have done something like this before in my past project but only as a last ditch effort and was something I wanted to ry in the future so what better ten to try it in my main project. I wanted to show my producing talent and how I can create a chord progression and use different instruments to try and keep the song moving and interesting without the use of vocals it will be hard but I did want to push myself.

The problem is finding a singer and creating lyrics in the time frame I have so to attack the problem I would need to think of a way around using vocals like making an instrumental song instead. This helps save time and helps me by not adding stress of bothering singers who have there own projects and writing good lyrics.
