Mixing You’ve got the love

Mix of You’ve got the love

In project two we are having a showcase and as well as working on that we have also work on mixing music so we recorded one of the songs we use on the showcase and mic up the drum kit and plug the rest into the mixing desk and record it on Logic.

First thing we do is put the individual files of the different audio down and get it sorted out, then colour code the different instruments e.g. drums – red, guitars – green etc.

The I put the instruments in groups going by their instruments to make the over view look more organised and neat.

After everything is down, I start working on the EQ on the instruments that need the EQ.

The compression is used on the vocals, bass guitar and electric guitar the compression compresses the pitch to make it fit between a set frequency.

The EQ helps lift some low frequencies and bring down some not needed ones to help get the perfect sounding recording .

For the vocals and some other instruments I added reverb to give a better sounding audio and effects to wherever needs it.
