Every Wednesday so far in project 1 we have worked with Lewis doing live sound this prepares us to use it in the future whenever we want to make changes to how we want the live performance to sound. during this time we learnt how to set up a PA system and rig that up to speakers, after that we learnt how to set up microphones for amps and set the singers microphone to the PA system to monitor and change the volume to make sure that it isn’t drowning out the singer or any other instrument and if it is to quiet and cant be heard.
We also learnt how to set up speakers and to make sure the cables are in the right place before turning them on and possibly not blowing out the expensive speakers, another think we had to learn was cable management and how to properly put cables away and to role them up.
This practice also allowed use to practice are live performance with people watching and monitoring are sound and predicting who should be heard more it was a challenge but in the end i think things became more clear with the help of Lewis and the people who were in the group.
When we go into year 2 I thing we will be able to set up the year ones live sound with some management i think it will be done.
