For this rehearsal, I wanted to go through the first parts of the song to practice the strumming pattern and the tempo of the song. This is the first song of two and in week two I have gotten the hang of the changes and whee to open and stop.
It wasn’t that much of a challenge to get used to I had to change to open chords when playing this song because at the start I was having trouble with how the song played and how fast I had to move, but since I changed to open chords I find it easier to play the song.
On my second song creep I was tasked to try play the full chords them being bar chords I had a bit of trouble with bar chords on use somebody which is why I changed them to open chords but for the new song, I knew that I didn’t want to disappoint anyone by just going bar chords and do something the other guitarist are not doing which was bar chords but so far I find them quite easy to play I really do like the challenge. The only thing that I am doing differently from the song is that I am not doing fingerpicking I am just strumming the chords. During the song, there is a part when I switch from a clean sounding guitar to a metal and gritty sound so I needed to use a foot peddle and it is the first time I am using the foot peddle it is really exiting I am really liking the setlist.
