Along with the 60′ this was a very important year for a lot of people, after years of segregation and abused the African Americans finally got there civil rights and were finally treated like people and were able to do more things that white people could, this was all helped by people like Dr Martin Luther King , Rosa Parks, Mohammed Ali, Sam Cooke, Malcolm X and Jim Brown.
along with the Vietnam war things between America and the soviet union where getting more and more tense as the soviet union built the Berlin wall to divide east Berlin and west Berlin (west was allied owned while east Berlin was soviet owned) and the soviets placed nuclear warheads on cube and America Placed Nuclear warheads on England things looked like a massive stalemate in the war.
Music in the 1960’s was a good thing in the 60’s as the British invaded America as bands like the Beatles, the Who, the rolling stones, the kinks and the David Clarke five band. American bands later where in a competition with the British bands with bands like the beech boys the monkees.
After helping the African Americans gain there civil right both Dr Martin Luther King and John F Kennedy were assassinated. after all the scary things that happened in America on 16 June 1969 Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon.
Fashion in the 60’s consisted of causal wear for both male and female a lot of the fashion in the 60’s where mainly changes for women plaid button down shirt with slim jeans comfortable slacks or skirts.
