Evaluation:
During many time through out this project I was left confused as I didn’t know what to do, To me it felt like I was doing more of filming and editing. Which led to me working less on the music. I’m not saying that I didn’t like the filming and editing side I did enjoy it especial learning Adobe Premiere which I had used before only to make quick gaming edits and post them on YouTube but this was show was on a much bigger scale compared to this.
It also felt like I was the only one working on the music and editing at some points through out this project.
I wanted to learn more about the music from the 1940’s and I wanted cover a song for one of the scenes even for the intro I wanted to make a big band marching thing but I had to scrap that idea due to time management and working on editing the show.
During the start of this project I was very excited to use Ableton again
and I had so many ideas flowing through my brain, I was inspired by the video game Grim Fandango which has a style of 1940s film noir and art deco and the soundtrack is set in that era it has a mix of big band, jazz, bebop and South American Folk. Which I though would be perfect for this show and have it as background music for some of the scenes.
Learning about World War 2 again was fresh because the last time I learned about it was in year 4. Also the idea of the show being in the style of Horrible Histories was great, I think everyone was excited when they heard this and everyone had so many ideas to feature in the show.
The trip to Eden camp was great too again the last time I went there was during Year 4 when I was learning about World War 2.
