SMART Targets

Reflecting on initial assessment feedback

SMART Target 1

S- learn more difficult songs such as plug in baby and Are you gonna go my way.
M- I am going to practice playing these songs and I will then record myself and look back on what I did wrong and try to improve on the parts I struggle on.
A- Right now I can play Plug in Baby by heart and I feel comfortable playing more difficult songs so that I can play some of these songs in my final project or outside of college.
R- It is relevant to me because I want to push myself into learning more challenging songs to play in college and outside of college.
T- I feel like I can complete this by the end of project 1

SMART Target 2

S- Evaluation and reflection
M-I will look back at my evaluation and read through it again and correct any mistakes or add something that I have missed out
A-As of now most of my evaluation and reflection is on a satisfactory standard and I want to push myself and get a good or excellent standard
R- I want to push myself into getting a better grade on my evaluation so that i can finish my projects on either a merit or distinction grade.
T- I feel that I can do this by the end of project 1

SMART Target 3

S-Improve on guitar techniques and accuracy
M-Record myself playing some of the songs that I want to learn and see what area I need to improve on and reflect on that by looking at what techniques I need to improve on and implement that into my guitar playing.
A-In my initial assessment you can see areas where I need to improve mainly on my accuracy as you can see in the video I missed out some notes but it could of been even better if I practiced a bit more and watched some videos on how to play the song
R-This is relative because one of my SMART targets is to learn more difficult songs to perform in college for my final project.
T- Before final project.
