My first idea for this show is to create a mysterious sort of track for the “Juan” scenes and my second idea is to create a theme song for the show in the style of Horrible Histories/ Grimm Fandango.
For the “Juan” scenes I want to create something mysterious/sly sounding and the inspirations is the Kira Theme from the anime show Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. I chose this as an inspiration because I think it would go great with a scene like this.
In the scene will be Juan (A double agent) and 2 telephones, one for the Allies (Great Britain) and one for the Axis (Nazi Germany). The scene is going to be dark and will only focus on Juan messing with the Axis and giving them false information about Allies.
To create this track I will be using Ableton live 12 and using the MIDI sounds that are built in.I am going to be mainly using violins, cello and double bass, maybe I will use drums but only a kick drum to add rhythm to the track.
The other Idea is to create a Theme song in the style of Horrible Histories with some Grimm Fandango elements because I want to recreate that 1940’s swing/jazz elements from the era.
I the theme song I will be using Ableton live 12 and the build in MIDI’s. The sounds that I will mainly be using is trumpets, Violins, double bass, brass instruments and piano for melody.
The theme song will be in the style of big band jazz. One element from Grimm Fandango I want to use is the distorted sound of a trumpet using a trumpet mute. I think this will be great to use in the theme song because I want to make it seem more serious than it is.
Some TV shows do this on purpose for example the show “Rick and Morty” has a synth heavy track and when listening to it, it gives you the impression that the show is going to be serious but its not it’s a animated comedy show with sci-fi elements. The theme song also takes inspiration from Dr. Who also being synth heavy but it being a more serious show about interdimensional Doctors.
