The mock performance went well for the most part but what we all need to improve on is having more confidence because in the beginning when Ashton introduces the band he says our band name wrong he says ‘electric brew’ instead of ‘electric blue’ which is our band name. The other thing is that some instruments can’t be heard for example me when I was playing our second song and the third song you can barely hear my guitar same goes for Lukass can’t hear his guitar in the second song. Piano players are almost like they aren’t there so they need to turned up. I need to practice more at playing I’ll be missing you because I sometimes stop playing and need to catch up with everyone else. For our third song zombie I need to be louder at some parts because I have to drown out the Rhythm guitar. We also need to work on the ending of our songs for example in the second song i keep playing even though the song had already stopped.
Another thing we can all improve on is stage presence. Mainly on what we will be wearing is something formal like suits. I will be wearing is a white button shirt and a black tie simple and formal. Also we need to communicate with each other because we don’t know when the song should stop for example in I’ll be missing you i kept on playing and then i realised that the song had stopped so we need to communicate with each other or give each other signals like a nod. Also communication with the audience like just looking at them because it makes them feel like we are interacting with them so they feel like they are part of the performance and we aren’t just ignoring them and looking down at our instruments.
The main thing I need is to find that perfect tone for my guitar. For the first song I think I’ll go with a clean tone, for the second song I will go with maybe with whammy or like a reverb effect and for the final song I need a distortion effect.
