Essay Idea 1: Visual Kei-Rise and Fall
Talk about the rise and fall of visual kei (Japanese subculture)
How it started, rose to popularity and how it Fell Off. Visual kei is an artistic movement made by Japanese music artists that began in the mid-1980s. Some of the earliest bands are X-Japan, Dead End and Color.
Visual Kei is heavily influenced by Glam Metal bands/artists like KISS and David Bowie.
This relates to me because I find this subculture interesting and unique.
Essay Idea 2: History of metal sub-genres

origins of metal and how other sub-genres were created
Black Sabbath created the metal genre, and other genres branched out. The 6 main sub-genres are doom metal, progressive metal, death metal, thrash metal, groove metal and black metal.
This relates to me because I grew up listening to metal and all of the different sub-genres.
Essay Idea 3: Kanye West Album MBDTF
This Kanye West album has an interesting story behind it and it is well-documented, a lot of songs were leaked and posted to the internet most of them are songs Kanye never released or different versions of the songs, for example, Drake was supposed to be featured on the track “All of the Lights”
This relates to me because this is one of my favourite Kanye West albums.
