Electronic music became popular in the 1980’s with artist like Eurythmics, Kraftwerk and the famous French duo Daft Punk (1993) who later on went to do collaborations with rap artist Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. They also composed music for block-buster movies such as Tron Legacy.
