Final Performance

The whole performance went smoothly. What went well was that we managed to play on time, and all of us had a great time performing all the songs on stage.
The performance went better than I expected. I thought my guitar was going to mess up or that my tone wasn’t as good, but it was better than what I expected.
I was very confident in playing all the songs, as everything went smoothly. During the sound check, I couldn’t hear my guitar, and the feedback I got from some of the students was that all of the chords I was playing sounded the same, and I also couldn’t hear myself or the other instruments in the sound monitor. I asked Evan to add everything to my monitor, as that is my preference.
There weren’t as many mistakes made here compared to the dress rehearsal, and the tuning of my guitar was consistent, and I only tuned it once, but that was before we started playing our setlist.
The timing was consistent throughout the whole setlist as we all relied on the drummer as he was playing to a metronome.
I felt comfortable on stage because I have done this many times, and my confidence has greatly improved throughout the years of being at college and performing in front of a live audience.
The way I connected with the audience was that I was gesturing to them when Aimee said she couldn’t hear them when she asked them if they were having a great time. Also, I was walking back and forth on the stage. During the song Helicopter I came closer to the audience at the start of the song.
To improve my stage presence, I would like to connect with the crowd more, whether that be gesturing to them or telling them when to clap. Another thing I would do to improve my stage presence is to be more active on stage.
If I were to perform this again, the main thing I would do differently is I would interact with the crowd more and just be more active on stage and interact with some of the band members and do some cool tricks on stage.

Project evaluation
My whole project was to promote the final performance and have as many people attend this gig, and I feel like I have achieved this because I have put a lot of hours into this one project. From making the posters to making a promo video, I feel like I have succeeded in what I set out to do. As you can see in the video, there were a lot of people who attended this gig. The venue could hold around 300 people, and we managed to issue 200 tickets and about 100 people attended. I feel like this was successful.
