Dress Rehearsal

At the beginning, you can see me change guitars because I wanted to use a guitar with double humbuckers instead of single coil pickups. I then switched because the guitar with double humbuckers kept falling off, so I switched to a different one. For the final performance, I will be using my guitar and pedal.

Are you ready for me?
This song was ok, I feel like we nailed this song down and will have it ready for the final performance. Again, my guitar tone is horrible during this whole rehearsal, and my guitar keeps making high-pitched noises because I had too much gain and distortion. I will fix all of this by the final performance. Aimee’s singing was powerful in the build up and chorus.

Vivica
Again, we have nailed this song in every rehearsal we have had. There is still room for improvement as there are times in the song where Oliver and I don’t play, but because this is our version of it, we carry on playing during the verse. The acoustic guitar is needed for this song because it changes the dynamics of the song. in the verse, the song should be easy to listen to and melancholy and in the chorus, it gets distorted just like in the original.

love song
We didn’t practice this song as often, and I feel like we should have because I kept on messing up in the chorus because I was playing the wrong chords and we also played the chorus longer because of me forgetting to play the solo during that time so when I did manage to remember to play the solo everyone switched over to play the verse but I started playing the solo so we played a bit longer than we were supposed to .

helicopter
This is our most rehearsed song and we didn’t mess up this song as much as we did for the other songs. I still need to figure how to get the right tone for the harmonic part before the final chorus. I will have all of thsi done before the final performance.

Enjoy the silence
We didn’t practice this one as much, and when we did practice it, we would sometimes play it at normal speed or speed it up. Having a drummer for this song helped us play in the right tempo.

The Pretender
This song we learned recently as we had to scrap one of the songs we were planning on playing at the final performance. With the time and all the rehearsals we had, I think we have this song down, but there is still room for improvement, one of them being me playing the beginning riff on time and playing the right chords in the verse.

Overall Evaluation/EBI
I feel like we nailed this performance. There is room for improvement, for example, I have to practice these songs in my spare time to get them on point and have my guitar tone sorted as well.
