Task 3 Evaluation – Project 3

Group Feedback:
They came up with good ideas and edited the videos great.
They could of communicated with the group more and let us know more of what was going on.

Both of our presenters had good subject knowledge and planned their scripts well for the show.

Both presenters were confident with the way they were talking and had alot of passion when they were answering the questions. Both of the hosts Henry and Meher did a brilliant job on presenting the show in a funny but confidient manner. The conversations werent forced they flowed naturally. These presenters were bouncing off eachother like it was nothing. Its like they had done this before.

Meher’s communication skills were very good , when he was talking he was getting his points across. He was very loud he projected his voice for the audience to hear exactly what he was saying. Meher was very confident with his words of speech. He did manage to control the situation very well and did an excellent job with presenting the show.

Meer could have improved on timing. He was talking about one topic for way too long sometimes. he could have moved on to the next topic from wasting alot of time on the one before it. Meher wasnt looking at camera 1 majority of the times so we had to tell him mulitple times from the back to look at camera 1 . There was a point where we told him and still wasnt doing so , so then they had wrote on a sheet saying Meher look at camera 1 please and were holding it up from the window at the back of the studio , the finally he managed to fix that.

The Peoples Feedback:

My evaluation:

The research helped me in many different ways. One of the ways was that it gave me an idea on how I wanted my talk show to be like, that was because I went on YouTube and I was researching different shows and watching them to get a clear idea on how I wanted my show to be like. The research gave me clear ideas , inspiration and clarity. I learnt quite a few things from doing research. For example I Didn’t know how to write a script for my podcast , I had to look up how to write a script on Google to get a clear idea on how I was going to lay it out and what I was going to say when doing my show.Going on YouTube and looking at different shows gave me an idea on what to say, how to speak when doing my show and being a presenter and how to answer the peoples questions in the correct manner and what to say to be clear ,effective, funny and confident.

When doing my research I learnt how to understand and integrate resources gleaned through various means. When doing my research I learnt how to deliver a talk show in a informal but funny way to suit my audience.I also learnt how to write a script in the correct manor and way. I even learnt how to keep a conversation going with confidence , I could have done some more research about how many people watch live tv broadcast shows , what the percentages are for men and women that watch these shows and how its been increasing over the years. I could have spent more time on my research but even so i still had a clear idea on what I was doing.

When planning my show I gained a huge amount of knowledge and skills and also learnt from the mistakes I made whilst planning my show. When planning the talk show we had alot of ideas to add to the show but we didnt want to make it too long or harder for us. Our first plan was to go around different restaurants and food places tasting the different foods of Bradford and giving them our opinions on the food but as a group we decided not to do that and do something that was easier but more effective and simple. So as a group we decided to go out and ask people around Bradford questions about Bradford , the food in Bradford , the culture in Bradford and what they would like to see change in Bradford. When planning we had a day each week to go in the studio and practice and reherse our show. This was on a Monday. The more we were in the
studio each week the more clear the idea became in our minds. We even planned how the intro and outro of our show. Me and Henry sat in lesson was discussing how we should do it, and Henry came up with a idea where he would create his own music for the show on Garage band and put his voice behind it introducing the show to the audience which was a brilliant idea.

Evenmore , we had wrote a script for the show in the studio. Which was done by me and Henry. We had wrote this script on word with a structured layout. We had even done a mind-map on what we were going to talk about in our show and what ideas we had about our show, this mindmap even showed you what the roles were for each person in our group. In the plan we even talked about what equipment we was going to use. In the planning we selected roles for each person in the group. In class we even wrote our street questions on flash cards for when we go outside and interview different people around the city of Bradford. These flashcards would help us remember the questions from the script. In the planning we had even thought of what we were going to wear for the show and that was something smart with the purple theme. The hosts had to be matching with the same colour. We planned what equipment we were going to use for our show aswell. We needed a microphone and camera from college to interview the people outside. In the planning we were doing , everyone agreed that it was better to have 2 seperate clip on mics for the hosts. When planning I had more of an idea in my head on how i would want my show  to be like, this increased my focus and drive to do more. Also when planning , I learnt how to be more creative and innovated and lastly I learnt how to work as a group with good teamwork and co operative skills,

I learnt how to write a script for a show , I learnt how to show my skills in a more practical way , I learnt how to deliever a live broadcast show in the right manner and confidence and I learnt how a show is structured.Next time when doing my planning I will ask other people for their opinion on different things , and I would hire out the equipment I need earlier to know exactly how to work it.

Overall I think for my first ever show I think I did really well and I have learnt new skills over this time period whilst doing my project. During this project I have even developed new skills and have become more confident with the planning side of things and even the speaking side of things. After doing this project I have learnt how to layout a show and deliver it to the audience in the effective and professional way.

If i was to do this project again I wouldn’t spend too much time answering the questions in the studio , I wouldnt spend so much time on one question I would move onto the next question and even during the show the mic was far away from my mouth , I would put the mic more closer to my mouth so the audience can hear more clearly. Henrys voice on the show was much louder than mine. Even at the end of the show the live performance could have been better , the audio of our music in the background could have been louder and when going out to ask questions to the public we could have gone up to more people , we could have confronted more people around Bradford. Even so If I was to do this project again I will wear a suit with a tie and I would add some bloopers ad the end of the show with the credits.

This project taught me that I am capable of a lot of things and I am able to get things done if I put my mind to it.

I confirm that the attached assessment is all my own work and does not include any work completed by anyone other than myself and sources have been appropriately referenced.
