Feedback Analysis:
I agree with bailey with some points he has mentioned . I personally think that my advert was good and it was my first ever advert I had ever done so I had to compromise with the editing tools and skills. But for my first ever advert I think i did really well. Bailey said that the music was too loud at the start but that wasn’t the advert it was just the volume of the computer . I don’t blame him though because most people thought the same. But that wasn’t the case at all. I admire his honesty and opinions and I take them all into consideration. I will take this feedback in a positive way and learn from it. That is the best way to move forward and progress.

The research helped me in many different ways. One of the ways was that it gave me an idea on how I want my advert to be like, that was because I went on YouTube and I was researching different binocular adverts and watching them to get a clear idea on how I wanted my advert to be like. The research gave me clear ideas , inspiration and clarity. I learnt quite a few things from doing research , for example I didn’t know how to describe my product and what to say and how to lay it out but going on YouTube and looking at different binocular adverts gave me an idea on how to describe the product and what to say to be persuasive.
I learnt how to understand and integrate resources gleaned through various means. I learnt which shots to use whilst researching , I learnt different camera shots and angles from other adverts .This gave me an inspiration on how I was going to record it.
When planning my advert I gained a huge amount of knowledge and skills and also learnt from the mistakes I made whilst planning my advert. When i was planning my advert , I had made an idea in my head which was a safari theme. I wanted my advert to be safari themed. I had done mind-maps and a pre-production plan to know exactly which shots I was going to use and how long each shot will be.
Furthermore , I even described each shot. I also did a risk assessment for my advert before I was going to record it. In my plan I even talked about what equipment I was going to use. I even Mentioned where I was going to film . I described each activity and how long it would have took. When planning I had more of an idea in my head on how i would want my advert to be like, this increased my focus and drive to do more. Also when planning , I learnt how to be more creative and innovated.
In my plan I wrote that I would be using a green screen and I will have to book it for a certain day but I didn’t end up using it because too many people were using it or else It would have wasted some time. That is one part that didn’t go to plan. Next time I would get to the green screen first or either using another green screen in the college.
All the different shots that I wanted to take and do actually happened . All the shots that I planned were all in my advert and that was a surprise because I thought only some would be in my advert but all of them were. The script I had written for the advert was recorded on the camera microphone , I thought the audio wouldn’t be clear but it was so clean and clear , so that is another aspect that went well.
When editing my advert there were some things that worked out and some things that didn’t.
When editing I had used different transitions to connect one clip to another smoothly. I had done this really well. There was one point in my advert where I had used the zoom in effect on the binocular lens. I wanted it to zoom in directly into the lens as it changes to the other clip , but I had to position the image in the correct position I had to add a key frame in the middle of the lens and change the scale and position of it , after trial and error I finally got there in the end and the result was perfect and so smooth. So this part went really well.
Even the outro and the intro went really well , I had done the outro on Photoshop I used the blur effect and I had a made the background myself like the sky and then I got the trees from Google images and joined them together then added the fancy font on top of it , this part went really well.
When editing there was a few things that went wrong as well. For example I wanted to do a slow motion effect on one of the clips but I didn’t know how to do it I kept changing the scale and messing around with the tools on adobe but it wasn’t working so I had just left it that is one thing that didn’t go to plan.
Overall I think for my first ever advert I think did really well and I have learnt new skills over this time period whilst doing my project. During this project I have even developed new skills and have become more confident with the editing side of things.
If i was to do this project again I will use the green screen and I would film my advert in another location , probably outside or somewhere else. I will also spend more time on my planning and when it would come to the editing part I will cut more clips and shorten them to make the advert shorter. Evermore I would use more effects in my advert.
This project taught me that I am capable of a lot of things and I am able to get things done if I put my mind to it.
I confirm that the attached assessment is all my own work and does not include any work completed by anyone other than myself and sources have been appropriately referenced.
