Tempo Distortion Analysis:
Initially getting the chance to use Sibelius left me with a lot of mixed feelings, I didn’t really understand it, and the concept was very confusing, especially since I knew little to nothing about sheet music. I managed to create a basic concept, but it still left me with a lot of questions, I wasn’t clicking in my mind, I could memorize it like it was asked of me sure, but I didn’t understand how everything worked, and that’s what was throwing me off, With the 3-hour sessions cramming in so much knowledge at once I had no chance to really understand to as it clashed with the way I usually learned so I had to adapt and seek out other sources. Also, the software has left me with a lot of questions because the software has a lot of flaws that students have to loophole their ways out of, it makes me question why we use such faulty software, but I guess that’s not up to me. As long as it gets the job done. Overall this piece represents the start of my concepts, baby steps, other people are gonna be ahead of me and that’s something I’ll have to accept, but I’ll try my best.
