To begin, I really loved how perfectly the video fitted into your soundtrack, it started just after the opening credits and ended just before the closing credits. The repetitions of the calming piano, which plays almost right the way through, really set an atmosphere of calm yet kind of melancholy. I really like how the piano is the most dominant right the way through because it really carries the atmosphere and takes the video to new places, especially as you add in your other accompaniments. The end really settles the whole video and really emphasizes that sense of calmness but still with a twist of melancholy that you just can’t quite describe.
The only feedback really is on how effective the staccato in the viola and violin were. Personally, I think they kind of clashes a little and would have maybe bowed one and then used staccato on the other so you get more of the harmonises that you employed later on into the piece. Although I am a big fan of the piano, it’s very difficult to tell the difference between section A and B, aside from the strings being added into section B. I also think that a fade out of the piano at the end would have really concluded your video.
Overall, I really love how perfectly cut it is and how well most of the harmonize complement each other but I’d really try fade the end, so it all feels well ended, and maybe not double up on staccato for the violin and viola as it can kind of clash a little. I really enjoyed it though and, for the most part, I feel like it really tells the story of the video.
