Project 3 week 2

Week two was once again spent on calls, and we did some practical work like writing song lyrics using the things around us, and practicing making lyrics for our songs, researching different methods on how to write song lyrics. We were able to record the first part of our song this week and create a video for it with lyrics that followed along with composition for the first verse.

This is a video that I had edited, along with adding the audio, capturing a primary sourced image, and editing in the lyrics using an editing software called Kinemaster Diamond, an app which I’ve been using for four years.

One of the problems we had is that our guitarist Ellis had trouble getting the audio to work, he sent most of his guitar solos through Instagram, and it’s one of the reasons why the audio is not as clean and sounds a bit clunky. That’s the main reason why the song didn’t sound structured. But at first, this was a problem we failed realise, and I tried to work with the one minute audio sections, that I would later have trouble with.

Plus, we also lacked other verses at this point, but it was good that we were able to get down a first verse concept in 2 weeks. Overall, I think we produced something really good for the first two weeks.
