Project 5 Presentation Ideas

Project 5 presentation feedback

Presenting my idea to the class was quite nerve wracking, especially considering that we had present this work online to our peers, my idea for my project 5 was to create a social media platform, essentially for myself, where I could upload music overs of all my favourites songs, and have an ongoing creative theme to carry its me throughout the project.

Initially, I completed missed the concept about needing a partner, and I was focused on what I want wanted to do as an individual, because I find a tend to work best on my own, especially if it’s going to be my own YouTube and Instagram I will be producing on. So that was one of the first bit of feedback that was gave to me, which I took into account. I thought you had to work with someone inside college that when I got told I don’t necessarily have to work with people within the college, or my class for that matter, so I opted out for people I know, like my dad, My dad used to take really good photography back in the day, and he has all of his work in albums I now have, so I am going to be utilising his work for my own collaboration project.

Not having music for my covers was the second thing that was brought to my attention, since I will be creating covers of songs I will have to research the rights to fair use, and what effects could happen if I was to upload a cover, perhaps it only big shown in certain countries and other effects like a company or an artist taking the royalties for my work. This will be researched so I can avoid this issue, and will be documented on digital space. I will be using music provided by YouTube, that will be then played through a speaker/Editing software.

The third criticism I received was mainly one I gave myself, a schedule, when I presented my work, I didn’t provide any other indication of a schedule other than a cover and promotional art will be uploaded to YouTube and Instagram weekly, and I had no set time table, so when I wrote out my proposal, I took this into account and created a time table that I can stick too and work from.

The final criticism was mainly directed for my target audience, what was my target audience? How was my work different from everybody else’s and how was I planning to be different from other YouTuber’s that are doing the same? Well, to that I finally have my answer, I am going to have a running theme, and it’s going to be something that means a lot to me, it’s going to be my theme of growth and spirit, over a dreadful time I am trying to grow from. Every song is going to have its own story that I will take about to my followers, and give a story behind the song and why it relates to me. Having songs that makes me feel emotions will bring out the best singer in me, and that’s what I want to give my target audience.
