(P5) Week 2 Progress.

Week two was also a success, and I was able to upload my second cover across all platforms, and I am pleased to say that I am growing in results. I decided to upload my second cover throughout the spring break because it allowed my viewers to have some content while I was not able to be in college and record, and it’s one of the reasons why I would record so many covers in one session, so I would have plenty of content to post on my platforms when I wasn’t creating new content in college. The criticisms I got from my second week is that I could include more content, maybe adding live video/video clips. This got me to think of time lapses, and adding in the video that I can shoot myself. this will add a new creative flair to each video I produce each week.

One of the criticisms I gave myself was the audio quality, the audio quality could be better, my live performances could sound a lot clearer by wearing earphones, and using the microphone I have with them, along with my editing apps.

Once again, I continued to use my dad’s photography as a part of my collaborative work, And it’s what I use for the cover art of my covers and what I use for my logo to represent me as an artist. I love my Dad’s work, and I have a lot of respect for his work because I wouldn’t have half the talent without him. I will still use my dad’s work when I add in time-lapses, I will be adding his work in the thumbnails, and on my Instagram and TikTok.

I don’t think this was my best performance, I do think there are better songs out there that suit my voice, But I personally find it’s a great chance for me to explore new songs and see what works for me as an artist and what doesn’t. I still think Bellyache is a personal favourite. I am going to be spending time researching possible software that could help to enhance my audio quality to improve my content.

I ended up putting the video on the unlinked setting, because looking back to newer content, I don’t really like it, starting out I can see a big jump from my content to where I am now, I love the cover, but I do think that I was reaching for high notes and trying to sing parts that I just couldn’t hit and I struggled with them, and I feel like my songs choice could’ve been a lot better at times. You can still view the video, but there’s just better content I would’ve rather had people see, but before I changed the privacy settings, I posted it to Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram along with YouTube it was received very well by my family and friends. At this point, I had a better grasp on controlling the sound quality but one thing that let me down was the fact that other people’s rehearsals/recording would picked up by my phone at times and it was very frustrating. The song choice was average, I feel like I would’ve picked a different song looking back, but I don’t completely hate this one, But I feel like I could’ve picked a better song to enhance my performance.
