Miles Davis Project 2

Miles Davis was a well-known composer. He was born on May the 26th 1926 and died on September the 28th 1991. He was an American composer, a jazz trumpeter also bandleader. He is among one of the most influential acclaimed figures in the history of jazz and 20th-century music. Davis was able to develop a variety of musical directions in a five-decade career that kept him at the forefront of many major stylistic developments in jazz.

Davis was able to make several line-up changes while he was recording one of the most notable changes he made was on ‘someday my prince will come’ in 1961 and his 1961 ‘Black Hawk concerts’ and ‘seven steps to heaven’ in 1963 with another mainstream success that introduced bassist Ron Carter, pianist Herbie Hancock, and drummer Tony Williams.

After adding these instrumental members Davis led them on a series of more abstract recordings often composed by the band members helping pioneer the post-bop genre with albums such as ESP 1965 and miles smiles 1967 before transitioning into his electric period.
