Monday –
Today, I used the footage I recorded over the weekend, of the sunrise and mid-day, and uploaded it into Kinemaster, my video editing app, so I could start working on my first draft edit. Whilst I had a lot of useful footage of the sunrises, I discovered that I needed to record a lot more mid-day footage if this edit was going to be as long as I had anticipated. Alongside needing more mid-day footage, I also needed a lot more sunset footage and nighttime footage because I only had like 1 sunset video I could use and none for the nighttime section. After I get the footage, I need to start working on the structure and how I want each other the little bits of footage to fall into each other, this is important in the story telling side of the video.
Tuesday –
I didn’t get chance to go into college today so instead, I was cropping down my footage and trying to capture as much as I could get. Cropping the videos down meant the it would save me time later, when I was adding them into Kinemaster, because all the footage would be useful instead of having people walking by etc. I added as much footage as I could but the structure still needs to be worked on.
Friday –
I have pretty much my whole edit done now, I just need to get nighttime footage and 1 more bit of midday. However, a lot of the footage isn’t transitioning into each other as well as I hoped, this means that I need to figure out which structure works most effectively, or maybe get more footage that seems to fit better. I don’t want it to jump from 1 time lapse to the next, I want them to kind of flow into each other, this is so it’s not distracting to the piano but also so it looks more professional.
