Week beginning the 27th
My role: Event manager – Basically, overseeing everything and making sure the event runs smooth and that everyone is as prepared as they can be. This can be achieved through mock performances, making sure photographs are done for promo, ensuring contracts are wrote up for health and safety and that we get as many people as we can to come.
Overseeing promotion:
Who’s on it: Abi and Tom
Work: BCB interviews/ TNA articles/Lunch time performances/ Busking = attracting an audience + making sure people are prepared, by playing live before the actual event.
Overseeing health and safety/contracts:
Who’s on it: Adam and Isaac
Work: Contacts (ensuring performers turn up), mass capacity of the venue? best positioning of the instruments/wires etc to ensure safety? Health and safety regulations sheet (at least a week prior the event)
Overseeing front house/programmes:
Who’s on it: Millie and Lucy
Work: Programmes (design ideas?), ensuring the right people get in/knowing who to go to when there’s an issue.
Overseeing stage managers:
Who’s on it: Niall and Ben
Work: knowing what each instrument needs (which need DI boxes and what leads so you know which leads to bring to change any issues), which bands need what and when (knowing the line up), listing everything that could go wrong and how to fix it on the night.
Overseeing sound/light:
Who’s on it: Ellis and Meg
Work: Making sure the audience can hear clearly but not causing ear damage (quite close to the stage), making sure musicians can hear themselves, making sure everything is well let (ensuring health and safety regulations).

This is where you can see all the promotion Tom and Abi did. They also put up a load of posters around DHB and the Lister building, as well as handing out flyers in both buildings. They were going to flyer around town but we over sold tickets and they had to be capped. Lastly, we did busking sessions in the canteen every dinner time, to help attract more people to the event.
