Overall, this project has given me a lot of tips on how to improve my own playing. For example, Jarrett said that he looked at the things he wasn’t already doing to create something new and that’s a new approach I’m taking in my performing to improve. Researching has shown me that improvising isn’t just mindlessly playing, they practice so many little riffs and patterns they like and then move it around using their theory knowledge, which has shown me I need to focus of my scales and chords a little more.
