Using the same pattern that we did for sharps, is how you find out the order of flats. However, we use the acronym ” Battle Ends And Down Goes Charles Father”, which is just the major acronym backwards.
F – Bb
Bb – Bb and Eb
Eb – Bb, Eb and Ab
Ab – Bb, Eb, Ab and Db
Db – Bb, Eb, Ab, Db and Gb
Gb – Bb, Eb, Ad, Db, Gb and Cb
The way to use these are by writing out the whole octave, include in your #’s and flats, add Roman Numerals and then list the chords.
