I have read through and understood my feedback from project 1, and I’ve identified areas to improve on.
My aims for this project is to see how community music has an impact of certain groups, like the homeless. I want to help with using music as a way to give a new idea of life to someone, like how Street Opera gave people hope. I can do this by maybe trying to see if I can visit one of the music charities for a day and help with some piano or guitar lessons.
I need to widen my variety of sources, including more videos/audio’s/articles/books. I need to properly Harvard reference these. Getting a wider variety of sources will allow me to understand different point of views. I can make sure they’re trustworthy by going onto Google Scholar.
I need to be more confident in my practical skills. I think being more confident in my practical skills will help me perform with more confidence. I need to stop second guessing myself and just let myself be and then I’ll be able to be more confident on stage. I can also be more confident by doing lunch time performances etc so I get more of a feel for the stage.
When documenting, I need to broaden my work, I.e. get video vlogs of it, video footage and then do write ups. This’ll ensure I get everything I’m meaning to get across, capture all angles of it. Plus, I can get a here and now feel of how it’s going, meaning it’s more honest. Meg also said to be careful not to waffle on because it can feel like you need to keep talking but it’s ok for it to be a short video.
I need to proof read my work so I know I’ve used correcting punctuation and not put commas in places where they weren’t needed.
