Adwords – Adwording allows you to look at websites data, through google. This is useful because you can see wha time most people are active or how many people actually visit the website daily etc, so it can help you decide at what way is best to portray your ads, like who do you want to attract, and what time that audience type is typically active. This is useful in drawing in new audiences, as well as reaching your warm audience, people who follow you etc.

If you use adwording sufficiently, it can draw in a larger audience for you because those certain people you’re targeting, are the one’s that you know’ll be interested in you. This is really useful in kick starting your business front because it attracts the following base you need so that they can also spread the word to people they know will like you, as you focus on your branding.

Social media platforms – In recent times, social media has become central in social life, this means that you can use social media in a way that draws in your audiences. For example, when musicians have “era’s”, this is when they change their whole character for their new project, usually an album. A really good example of this is during Demi Lovato’s recent era for their album, “Dancing With The Devil : The Art Of Starting Over”. If you look at all of their social media platforms, they all have the same layout, the album cover, and they use similar emoji’s in every post. Another example, is Ariana’s “Sweetener” era, she had everything upside down and that was like the trademark of the era.

These era’s help to form a character for that draws the attention of the public in, it makes people either connect with you, or at least make it so that they want to see what kind of things you do next. At each stage in your life, you’ll feel like a certain little change within your personality so that just needs to shine throughout your music and social media’s etc. This can be done through costumes, word fonts/how you’re typing, colour scheme’s and basically anything you do.

Digital narrative – Linking into the “social media platforms” section, this is the process of how you portray yourself to the public. As well as making sure to keep your personality centre and keep being authentic, you want to make sure this era has like a characteristic that can be described, for example, like when the “Tell Me You Love Me” era was active, people would describe it as Demi’s bad B energy era because of the theme in songs, how they would present theirselves on stage and just how they were acting overall. Different era’s can present different digital narrative’s because it’s like the different stages in the artists lives, it’s like they grow with the general public, which in turn allows people to relate and connect with them and then follow.

Social Media Businesses – A common theme in most successful marketing, is how strong their social media platforms are. For example, it’s a lot easier to connect with people online, especially in the current times of COVID but also, because you can meet people from all over the world. This allows stronger connections to form. On the other hand, it also allows the artist to easily expand their engagement in other countries. For example, it would be harder for American singers to build strong fanbases in places like Brazil or Spain, if they didn’t have social media businesses, because people wouldn’t really know about them unless they’d heard they had good music, which they’ll know through marketing that draws them in.

A good example of utilising social media for business is through YouTube adverts. There are so many different adverts that come up, about all sorts of different artists. If they have a catchy little jingle or if the video is eye catchy, then it makes people want to look further into their artistry. Another way of utilising social media to gain a larger following, is by having ads on Instagram or Facebook, you can pay to boost your post so they can reach people who don’t follow you, but it can also reach people who are following you so they’re aware of what kind of stuff you’re up to.
