For my final idea, I want to create an edit of different videos and pictures I take and then write a score to it, kind of like what we did for project 2.
To do this, I need to go out to different places and take some nice videos and photos that all correlate in some way so I can form a piece of music over the top set the tone/mood. For this, I’ll be recording and taking photos on my phone because it’s portable so I can take it anywhere. Then, I will be using my laptop to record piano/guitar/ukulele sounds before adding it all into garage band. Using different devices will help save storage and ensure that I can fit it all in.
This project uses both my musical talents and pushes my editing skills. This is good for the industry practice because editing can be used for stage live screens or music videos etc so this means that I’ll have a better idea of what is possible, and it also pushes me to be more creative and think about how the visuals can hook people but work collaboratively with the music.
For the collaborative aspect, I can ask someone to play some music pieces or help edit but if nobody can then it’s ok because I can still fill those parts up.
