Compositional Plan

This composition is in the key of C major. I did this because, whilst I was playing around with the notes to find a pattern I liked, I felt like this key had the most freedom and would allow me to think more creatively rather than following the rules of where the flats or sharps have to be. It’s also in 4/4 time signature because that’s just what happened when I started to find a pattern I liked.

I used a mixture of chords and single notes but all of which fell into either F major, G major, A minor, C major or D minor.

Section A-

Section A repeats 3 times because piano plays on it’s own first, then along side violin and then with just 1 viola. This carries over into section B, with all three of them still playing.

Section B-

Section B repeats 7 times because everything fades in before they drop out, 1 by 1, leaving just the piano left, just before the piano plays section A 1 time on it’s own again.

SIDE NOTE: The numbers under a few of the notes are the timings for the mean time.
