Some of the skills\/ employees you’d need to create games would be :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Game designer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They create storylines, on to of that the video games are immensely complicated, with millions of lines of code developing every part of the game. From maps to characters, these games provide a response to any action taken by the player. The skills they’d need is Creativity.Artistic vision, A passion for video games, Storytelling ability, Wide-ranging knowledge of gaming trends, Strong analytical frame of mind, Excellent programming skills, Ability to work as part of a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Game artist<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Characters, cars, props, scenery, backdrop, objects, colours, textures, and clothing are some of the visual aspects of a video game that a games artist develops in 2D and 3D. All of these factors contribute to the overall appearance and feel of a video game. Designing the game’s setting, characters, storyline, and visual style requires creativity. Programming skills, strong analytical mind Strong understanding of the gaming industry, how games function, and current developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sound engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A game’s soundtrack is created by sound designers. This comprises music as well as foley, which includes sound effects such as gunshots, footsteps, crashes, cheering, and heavy rain. They add atmosphere, tempo, and emotional depth to the game, making it more interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all what is apprenticeship and how does it work? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An apprenticeship is a real job that pays you as you learn and develop experience. You’re an employee with a contract and paid vacation time. You’ll have the right skills and knowledge needed for your chosen career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to do concept art for games, apprenticeship like those are rare to find, but to those that do exist somewhere out there you’d learn and do a lot of concept art for games, such as character design and background design. the skills you’d be learning would be how to connect characters design arts to the game your creating, your knowledge of colour pallet for game characters would also increase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research into a creative agency you would like to work for <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Id like to work for channel 4, the closest channel 4 location to me is in Leeds. If i ever get accepted to channel 4 i was thinking more about join the camera crew team, this is because i already have some experience with cameras. Personal Statement <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As a child I was always mesmerized by cartoons such as Winx club, Kim
Possible, Scooby Doo, etc., and I was so into them I started drawing from a very
young age. When I was about 10 years old, I fell in love with computer games,
especially ps2 and ps3. I had all the Crash Bandicoot games, Rayman games etc.
Because I\u2019m so passionate about both of these 2 subjects I want to become a
concept artist for games. I want to do concept art for games and possibly
within the films and animations industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of these memories I thrived and tried my best in my school years to
get a lot of skills, for example I know to transform a drawing into digital and
on top of that animate it, I also know how to do a story board, mood board,
editing images, using photoshop, editing clips, creating films, drawing a
animating. In my school I graduated with a distinction in my ICT, I\u2019m
continuing creative media in college, last year for my FMP I created a short
animation and I passed, in this year we will be focusing on short films and
games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have a previously studied Creative Media in high school and as a teenager I
knew what I wanted to do, however I had no idea it was an actual job. I started
school and had ICT lessons and I took a liking to it and so in college for my
course I choose creative media and I loved it. I have and learnt a lot of
skills for example I know how to use editing applications such as adobe photoshop, adobe premier pro etc. I have different skills when it comes to editing, I know how to create different posters, mood boards story boards, editing images, photoshop, editing clips, creating films, drawing an animating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 For my hobbies I like to draw a lot, this links to my animation since
I have experience in animation. I also like playing a lot of games this link
back to my game in my second year which is this year we will be focusing on
film and game lessons where we would create games and game levels.  I have a portfolio that showcases these skills in concept art and animation and finally also games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my spare time I love filling up art books with doodles and drawings, especially with character design. There are also times where I will turn my Traditional art into digital art. I also  love giving my characters back stories  and animating them. I also love playing games and play around with the application named unity where I create game levels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am very determined with my ideas and story lines, character design, I am
also very creative and I\u2019m good at solving situations especially when it comes
team problems. I did have work experience however it was not related to this
course it was about designing a mini roller coaster in teams, we were split in
3 different teams and each team would have to create one certain part of the
roller coaster, because it was challenge we used papers and tape to show how
the roller coaster would work. We\u2019d have to communicate with the other teams to see what they are doing, such as measurements, and how they will do it and however will use their information in use and continue the next part of the roller coaster and make sure it will work, now this may not be related to this course but it shows my team work. We won by the way. In projects that include team work Id taken the leadership role and id delegate tasks to other team members to make sure the project went smoothly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
