{"id":372,"date":"2021-09-22T09:27:11","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T08:27:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10627088\/?page_id=372"},"modified":"2021-10-06T09:44:43","modified_gmt":"2021-10-06T08:44:43","slug":"analysing-matrix-scene","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10627088\/analysing-matrix-scene\/","title":{"rendered":"analysing matrix scene"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The clip I will be analysing is from the movie named me Matrix here is the main character and a side character coming to a building and starts to shoot at security guards, who then call the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It starts off with a close-up shot of the main characters shoe, each step is on the beat of the background music since the music is intense and it&#8217;s only shows a close-up of the shoes this is building up tension and confuses the audience on what&#8217;s going to happen next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next is a follow-up shot that follows the bag that Neo was holding, this makes the audience intense and wants to know what&#8217;s inside the bag.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next up there&#8217;s a medium close-up shot the reason why I think the director didn&#8217;t use a full medium shot because he wanted to bring the attention to Neoa facials expressions to show his&nbsp; reaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medium close-up shots: characters from shoulders chest area to the top of the head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full medium shot: this is a shot that frames the characters around the knees and up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then there&#8217;s a full medium shot this is because he can see Neo from knees to the top of his head, he starts looking around the lobby which, if you can pay attention to the background the lobby is quite huge<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that Neo reveals what&#8217;s under his long coat (guns) which then the director decides to do over the shoulder shot, this is a camera angle where the cameraman is placed above the back of the shoulder to the person who&#8217;s speaking reaction and get a clear understanding of what the security guard is saying.
