In my reflective journal ill be updating you thought out my preproduction stage, I will be including my problems I will also be explaining how i solved the obstacles in my way for this project.
To start of the first problem I had was that everyone’s was busy with their own project and didn’t have time to help me out therefore I decided to make a deal with my classmates Salman and Max, the deal was that wed create a schedule on where wed be filming my project and when will I be helping them with sprites, for example wed only be able to recording in the morning Wednesdays, in the afternoon we be doing out written work, on Thursdays wed be only able to record in the mornings and in the afternoon in jakes class id be helping them out with the art work.
Another issue would be the fact that I don’t halve access to premier pro at home, the only time Id have access to premier pro would be at college, therefore Id be separating the main clips into different folders and edit the main parts of my experiential music video, the main clip that I needed to be edited was the scene with the mirror and since the only application I knew how to mask with was premier pro, then id edit the rest of the clips I needed after that.
Another problem was that Id be saving and backing up my recordings in one drive, but after while I started to run out of space and then I couldn’t add anymore clips to my one drive, the resolution to this problem was that I started to send the clips and recordings to myself on my email where they’d be save.
Another issue I have ran into was the fact that the application I would use to animate my back eyes on my evil doubleganger [Flipaclip] would leave water mark on the video, the application wanted me to buy premium for the water mark to disappear which thought was a bit excessive, so I took the clip I needed to animate on and then I cut the bottom of the clip out of the clip since it was ruining the hole vibe of the video.
I have multiple drafts of me retaking the same scene of me going in and out of the bathroom, this is because the lighting would change throughout that scene which would mess up my masking, this is because it didn’t look like the mirror was blending in with the rest of the scene
I do feel a bit frustrated about the fact that I’m not getting as many opportunities as I though I would be to add animation to this experimental music video.
Another problem I had was when I was trying to record some scenes for my video Salman and Max would be messing about and not focus on what Id say, when they did listen though most of the scenes we took was bad for example there are multiple scenes where theres maxes shoe in the camera view.
One other problem I was faced with was that the cap of the camera got stuck on the tripod which resulted with the cap getting lost at some point of our filming which meant that I no longer had access to taking a camera out, so i had to ask my friends max and Salman o take one camera out for me for my filming.
