Because the theme we got was incognito I decided to create a 30 second animation, this story is based in the medieval times where a rich Douche decides to throw a birthday part for his daughter 18th birthday, they invite the locals to this celebration that has a theme, and that theme is mystery ball, this means that the characters in my animation will be wearing masks which this ties in with the theme. This is from the Douche’s daughters point of view, it all starts going down hill when a pirate decides to attend and steal the families treasure that was inherited from the past generations.
My original plan was to make the animation 30 seconds however as I started to draw and put all the frames together I realized it does not explain my story line clearly, therefor I added the Douche’s daughters point of view to show how it all happened.
Furthermore because this was set in olden times I decided to add typewriter sounds as if the daughter is telling a story that already happened, however there was a mistake at some point and the typewriter came in late.
Finally, there are some scenes where characters don’t have their masks on, this was a big mistake on my part which defeats the purpose of the them. If I had the chance to redo my animatic the first thing I would do would be more careful with what I’m missing, especially when its a detail on my characters.
