what is my project
Because my project is a animation opening, the ideal time length of this project is 30 seconds. There will be many different scenes such as
I was planning on opening the scene of the main character running on rooftops whiles the colour palette would be soemthjng similar to a sunset colour plalet, then the main character will be jumping off the roof as the next scene comes in cutting to to another character sitting at a window while its night time waiting for the other charactes, the setting fir this scene would be a bar. Then I was planning on it to cut to a fighting scene to the two main characters with the side characters by their side the setting to this place would be in the woods.

My aim for this project is to improve my animating skills, what I mean by this is keeping my charters consistent such as, hair length, eyes placements, keeping my characters clothing consistent, I will do this by keeping my characters details simple and nit complicated, my other aim is to keep my animation smooth and not robotic, I will complete this by replaying the scnes over and over changing the actions to keep it smooth

My target audience is 10-12 years old, the reason for this is because my colour plates are choosen to catch younger children eye, this will make it more appealing for the children.

The resources I need is a application that will allow me to animate, now because I dknt have a computer I will have to be creating this on my phone using a application called flipaclip, this is a application that allows you to animate. I will also be using another application called ibishpain since the colours on flipaclip are limited
Collaborations – who will you be working with and what will their role be
My collaborator was salman, we discussed different variety of colour palates, talked about what I should include in diffrent scenes of the animation. We also talked about backgrounds for my animations and character designs. He inserted ideas to make my animation better.
Context – why and how is my project relevant to the media industry?
This project is relevant to the media industry since its visual, it also included diffrent skills as using diffrent applications (flipaclip and ibishpaint) and drawing skills.
Research – What am I going to research and how? Primary/secondary? Books, journals, online, documentaries/video, etc.
I have watched and read many diffrent secondary reserch, I watched many video’s on how to make my animation smoother and how to create the atmosphere I was aiming for, now this includes the camera angles, facial expressions and body language.
Problem Solving – how will I solve problems and what methods/models will I use? If my phone runs our of storage I will be saving all of my drawings and animations one SD card so I dont lose them and itd also be easy to find the work I’m looking for.
Health and Safety – what aspects apply to your project? risk assessments?
I will be following a schedule that will include breaks in between work, this will prevent me from back problems and also eye strain.

This project is completely free since I’m using free applications

My plan for this project is to follow my schedule which is taking it step by step, for example the first 2 ans a half hours I will be sketching the plan of my animation, then I’d be going over it drawing the outlines I want to be included, after that is be be going over is and adding details such ad facial expressions, finally adding colours. However this will be taking alot of time to go through so I will be creating a scedual.
Practical Skills – what practical skills will you need?
To do this project the practical skills you need to have is drawing skills, this is the main skill you need to have to create the animation, you also need to understand how frames work and how to create your drawings smooth.

I will be documenting my work. I will be using screenshots and clips of my prices throughout my time creating the animation
