Project Evaluation

Looking back on my targets I set myself for this project, I haven’t really achieved them. The ones I haven’t achieved are working harder on Context and Research, and referencing. These are things that I really need to work on, as they are vital for success. I still have achieved some though, such as evaluating constantly. In my Logic and Sibelius work there are evaluations most weeks, and to a good level. I also made sure on Logic, my pieces were in time. Also that the drums parts weren’t basic, which I think I achieved. I also achieved my personal goals that were specifically for this project, which were to gain a good knowledge of music theory and notation, and to be able to use software such as Logic. I achieved both of them, however with the Logic one, I am not fully confident in it.

I personally think my practical skills, so my Logic and Sibelius work has been good. I have already evaluated my work, so I won’t go into big detail. However I think I have done the work to a high level, and the final tracks sound good. The evaluations I did are also quite good, I think I could’ve gone into more detail. I also missed one week of work off my Logic evaluations, which I should’ve evaluated that. However it is still to quite a high level. My Music in Context document is also something I am happy with, as I have written a lot of work, and with a lot of detail and research has gone into it. However the rest of my context and resarch isn’t the same, my Compisition Analysis is quite detailed though.

I have enjoyed all aspects of this project, Sibelius, Logic, learning about music over the years and learning music theory. I don’t think I want to do any of these for the final project, however I have enjoyed it and the skills will help me later in life, especially the music theory I’ve learnt.
