Presentation Reflection

Peer Feedback – Expand on health and safety.

Be more specific on collaborations, as in who I’m working with and if I need some people or I don’t

Be more specific about the details of my project

Better presentation skills

Presentation needs to be more organised and less rushed

Explain why the inspirations are inspirations to me.

Promotion needs more work

Improvements – My actual presentation and the content was pretty good, however my presentation was very rushed and I was very underprepared. I would definitely prepare more for it. Health and safety needs a lot more detail, as I didn’t mention everything I could’ve. I wasn’t as specific as I could’ve been in this, as I need to decide what collaborations I am doing and decide what aspects of the project I will be doing or I will get help with, mostly with the mixing aspect. The inspirations also weren’t explained, I just said that they were inspirations then left it there. I should’ve explained why these are inspirations to me.

Tutor Feedback – Project seems too big, either need to cut down the work load or look at what I’m doing and see what aspects are actually important to me.

Is promotion needed?

Planning needs to be more detailed

More time on rehearsals

Less is more

Improvements – Lewis mentioned a lot of good points in his feedback, such as the fact that my project has a massive workload, which definitely needs some refining. There’s a lot of elements in my project, such as songwriting, advanced drumming, promotion, mixing, learning to use Ableton and learning how to use drum pads and technology. I need to decide which aspects of this project I will be actually doing and what I need to get help with or collaborations with. My plan is also not very detailed, and is vague. It is planned week to week however very vague and doesn’t have too much thought put into it. I will improve this on my action plan and make it a lot more accurate. Linking into this, more time should be spent on rehearsals, as I want the drumming to be as good as I can make it. Also for my project, promotion is something that I don’t think is necessary, for a couple of reasons. The workload is already massive, with loads of aspects, and promotion isn’t really needed for my project. As I’m not going to make a career out of doing hybrid drumming videos on Youtube. What I’m creating is for getting the best grade that I can, learning new skills and advancing the skills I already have. Not for making money or making a career out of it, so promotion isn’t necessary.
