My first idea is to create an EP with my band that I did the first project with, Millie and the Floor Gang. We have had this idea for a while, however it might be more difficult to do than we thought. Due to lockdown, making music with other people is very difficult, and it might not be possible to create a full EP in the time frame online. Also if we are online for all of this project, recording the drums will be an issue for me. Also making music with a band is a lot easier in person than online, which if it is all online it could be an issue just making the music. Also it might take longer than the time frame to create this EP if we are online as it is a much slower process. This is still an idea, however if we have to do it online it could be an issue.
My second idea was to do a performance with Millie and the Floor Gang and stream it on youtube. However this could be very difficult if we can’t meet face to face. As learning and playing the songs will be fine, however making it a good live stream will be difficult as if we can’t meet and record us playing together, it won’t work. I could do it solo however I can only play one instrument, so playing full songs by myself.
My final idea could be to create a composition. I haven’t figured out the genre of this and if it is online I will need to acquire the software to make the composition. This will cost money so I will need to plan for that. However this is a solo thing so I won’t need to rely on anyone else and can work on it in my own time. However I would rather work with people on this final project.I could do this in the time frame that we have, and I could make it to the best of my abilities. I can work on this in college as they will have the software, and if it is online I can just get the software at home.

You have explained your initial ideas well and what you plan to achieve with the given time and circumstances. You could mention the equipment you will need to make this work and whether you have it or not, and if this might become a problem.
The equipment is kind of an issue, as I have a drum kit and I have ableton. However a microphonewill be good as my drum kit will not sound good without a good microphone.
You could mention video editing; if everyone had a good camera you could record the instruments separately and edit them together using software. You should mention the skills you would need to do this idea to a good standard eg the ability to work in groups and under pressure, confidence…
We would need a good camera for this idea, and also either a media or film student to help us with the video editing or we could do it ourselves. However it could be quite difficult so we will need to be able to work together well.
Great explanation on what you plan to do and that you plan to make it a solo project. However, You could talk about if you could work with students in other fields, for example working with a graphic design student to make artwork or promotional material if you plan to release the composition.
I could work with a graphic design student to make the covers for it if I release it on streaming platforms. I could also ask other music students to help me with the parts such as vocals, guitar or bass depending on the genre I choose.
