This week I changed my track quite a lot however it is finished.
With the help of my tutors I finalised this track. It isn’t what I expected it to be at the start of this project however I am still happy with it. There is now only two sections of this song, an A and a B section. The A section is the first bass line from the old ndraft, including a guitar sample and the drum sample that plays mostly throughout the song. As well as some vocals I added in late to add more texture. Due to time constraints I started looking at samples. I found a drum beat that was technical as well as fitting the track really well. The guitar riffs are also samples. The one in the first half of the song I think is a really nice riff and fits perfectly. The one in the second half isn’t as amazing but it still works. The B section is completely new, with Nic helping me with the organ part. I created the bassline that goes with it, some more vocals and a different guitar sample.
This is me rehearsing the drum beat. As I will be doing a live performance of this it still needs a lot more rehearsing. As well as some thinking about what fills to put in. A good start to rehearsing but it needs to be completely tight.
Next week I will be rehearsing for the final showcase as well as finalising written work.
