For my first rehearsal we started on a song I wrote and it was a struggle getting everything right like the chords and the beat but now we have it , we clicked on how to sing it and play it’s going better than it did at the begging of the lesson . Here’s is where we got up to, our guitarist was later so singing is me and Tom , adams on drums and I’m also playing a little bit of piano .
Second week of rehearsal me and my band finish singing and working on my original and start working on, the cover “11 minutes away “ and started on another song Tom wrote . i also came up with piano chords for it and worked on changing the lyrics about. Adam on drums, me and tom singing, ben on guitar.
Third week into rehearsal we started to learn toms original and got told to drop the cover and just work on our own songs, so we tried singing the original “you” without mistakes and we’re getting there and started to work on toms original “last days of our lives”. Adam still on drums me on piano and tom singing also i sang.
Four week we was working on the song “last days of our lives” to get it right and learning it without lyrics and ben completed the whole song without fail and me and tom got through it without forgetting the lyrics and Adam was on drums and of course was great. we also sang “you” to keep up and not forget the lyric to that song and that’s when we started on our third song that just happened to come up, and I’m on piano and a simple drum to that.
Fifth week we was working on not making mistakes and not using any lyrics to read off and I was trying not to stop if I mess up and so was Ben, we was also working on to stay on the beat with Adam because “you” the original was hard to stay on timing but we have been working not to do that.
Sixth week we wasn’t in on Monday but we have been working none stop Tuesday and Friday, and me Tom and Adam are hitting everything on timing now Tuesday morning Tom was singing to slow for it to work on the beat but now he sings it a little fast it work a lot better and Ben has been working on his guitar parts and knows them off heart we caught up very quickly me and Tom just need to project more with our singing.
The seventh week we stopped with the rehreasing because we was recording for our ep but we did warm up before singing to get our voices ready.
