In the first week of rehearsal we got told that we was going to perform to a school and got given groups which was 3 of us. In my group there was Issac and Niall and of course me, Niall is on guitar and Issac is on piano. The songs we was allowed to choose had to be appropriate for student for young age aswell as older students.
The three songs we chose are:
Comethru – Jeremy zucker
Happier – Olivia Rodrigo
love yourself – Justin bieber
The songs at the begging was stressful because I kept messing my words up and Niall and Issac messed up on the instruments but we kept trying and by end of the first rehearsal we was able to get comethru done, needs work but that’s one song down.
The next rehearsal we ran through come thru again so we was becoming comfortable with it so we could move on into learning happier which took a little more time so we took half an hour in this rehearsal and then for the next we took that hole lesson on learning happier.
This rehearsal we practice comethru and happier one after a other and then also started to learn love yourself which was easier because Niall knew how to play it on guitar and piano so he showed Issac how to play it and picked that song up really easily and was able to get it done after 2 try’s and we was practicing them all one after another. They need work and be able to tighten them all up but they sound really good at the moment.
For this rehearsal we was just running through songs and having a practice with filming us and that went alot better and i sang it all right because sometimes i struggle to get a certain line right but i didn’t this time but for love yourself i got confused on the last verse but i didn’t realised till we finished filming which didn’t matter you couldn’t really tell. Then we just ran through the songs over and over again till the end of the day.
So this time we had to record the songs and i ended up singing 2 songs for Tia’s group because the singer in there group didn’t want to do it so i sang ” go easy on me”- Adele “not prepared for you”- Lauren Jauregui but i still also sang two songs for my group which was “come thru”- Jeremy Zucker and ” happier” – Olivier Rodrigo. So i let the other singer sing love yourself by Justin Bieber. My thoughts on this is it didn’t go well with my band my mind went blank and i kind of freaked out with myself but i carried on singing come thru but then when i got onto singing happier that went completely wrong but that’s ok it happens sometimes. Then for Tia’s group i didn’t know not prepared for you so i used my phone for lyrics it went better than i thought i got confused on the 2nd versed but i carried it on and didn’t stop because we only really one chance to film. Then for go easy on me i was so proud of that one the guitarist struggled to play it so he sat out for this one and it was me and Tia who’s the pianist, did this song together and it went so good, i didn’t miss a verse of anything it payed off.
