Overall I’d say the project went well even if we had many problems along the way. I like the final turnout even if there were some troubles along the way in the production of the documentary. What I like about the Documentary are the clips we shot for the project and the music produced by the 4 music students in our group. I feel like we captured some motion from what I thought we should when I was thinking about the practitioners I was inspired from. We were not able to add a lot of transitions because of the tempo of the music so that was a letdown but I think the poetic documentary came out great.
The negatives and the feedback I would take on in my next project are to have more contingencies, double-check everything is constantly working because I don’t want to be wasting time checking that things are working correctly. I would also say is that since this is my first time shooting a poetic documentary is that I need to improve my skills in envisioning how a rough draft of the edit of any project I’m on would be because this helps guide you and know what you may be missing on the project and you would still have time to shoot it because you thought about the missing component to the project beforehand.
