Project Title: The infiltration
Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 100 words) : In the past 7 units, I learned how to edit different types of film cuts and transitions to develop a film and narrative. After the 7 units, I now know how to use transitions and cuts to smoothly transition to the next scene and how to use them effectively after experimenting and creating clips with those techniques. I know how to use film techniques like jump cuts, Match cuts, Crosscuts and more. I also learned how to do Foley and sound editing in the units so this skill will help me develop good sound quality for the film. The units helped me learn how to create and develop good sound quality and visual edits for projects which I prior had no knowledge of. I now have a better understanding of how things are done in film and how to embed them into my projects. In the past units, I have developed skills using the adobe suite to create and produce creative media content. I have used photoshop for design processes, after effects for animation and special effects and premiere for video editing.
Section 2: Project
Concept
(approx. 200 words): My project concept is to create a spy and mystery type film that can embed the theme of incognito and also involve the client Deer shed Festival. The film will first start with an introduction to the film and the objective of the spy at the start that fades in and out and the start. The protagonist will infiltrate a college that will have a laptop that has data on deer shed that is secret and is valuable to the protagonist and he takes the data in secret and escapes the college without being detected. This will be in over the shoulder shot and wide-angle shots. The research I have done for my project is looking at spy and thriller movies and gain ideas from their movies and how they added a twist to the spy genre from their movies. I have watched many different shows and games to help me understand the theme of incognito and stealth so that can help me develop and create my project. The film will be 5 mins or longer and The aim of the project is to entertain and promote deer shed. My film will be a comedic take on the spy genre like movies such as Johnny English. I will be filming with a college camera as I don’t have a camera and I will be filming in the college because of the scenario. The lighting will be through natural lighting as it will be filmed during the day. The film will be family-friendly so that it can be watched by a family deciding to go to deer shed.
Section 3: Evaluation
(approx. 50 words): I plan on creating a Document that will be like a diary documenting everything I have worked on and my thoughts of what I have done in the project to that point. In this document, I will write about what I am happy with the project as I am doing the process and what I think I could have done better.
