I was tasked with making an example of a cross cut, so i made a simple example with a door opening from one scene to another, with another separate character exiting the door.
Evaluation of the project and how it went;
I found making this rather easy, as the cut itself was easy to make, i worked with Jess and went into another room to record the video, i recorded myself exiting a door, of which the camera then cut to Jess leaving another door, i used this as a solid example of a match cut.
I also recorded 2 other videos, one of which an eye was being closed, and when it opens another eye is in its place, cutting to another scene, and one other video where their was a bunch of crayons being messed with, cutting to a similar but not identical box of crayons being messed with by another hand.
We had some other ideas for the match cut but we settled with what we had, if I could change anything i would record a larger variety of videos and pick from them to see which one was best, and consult with my friends too, aside from this I found match cutting to be a useful and unique cut to make.
