After doing some research i was tasked with creating and editing a video using cross cuts, to film the video i worked with Nills, Ethan, Victoria and Jess.
Evaluation of the project and how it went;
I think overall the project went rather well, we manages to capture cross cutting and make it seen realistic, swapping from the planning phase to the action phase continuously, making it seem like the planning scene really was before the action, i also incorporated some jump cuts and other cuts, to make the video flow well and make the story understandable, i also cut away a large chunk of meaningless dialogue that added little, to ensure it was compact but well executed.
If i could change anything I would ensure that we recorded enough, as after finishing the editing process I noticed that we had a large chunk of time between planning and action that could have been filmed and seen, i think that next time I will make sure that we have enough content to make the story better understood, and ensure that characters actions are understood too, as well as recording more for the later planning scenes.
I found editing the project to be rather enjoyable and fun to do, whilst also finding it easy to make sure the scenes fit in well together, I also found it easier then expected to edit and record.
