These fairies were inspired by Raquel I love how they turned out I think I will use some of these fairies for my final piece. I coloured in my fairy with unnatural skin, eye and hair colours because they aren\u2019t human and this emphasis that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love the wings on these drawings I love the colour and the detail in them. I love the bright colours of the fairy with the rainbow wings it reminds me of some of Kaffe Fassett\u2019s work. I love the detail on the boots of the yellow fairy I like the metallic shine and the glow of the swirls because it looks magical. I did more shading on that fairy than the other and I prefer it though I could have added more seen as the pants don\u2019t have any shading. Next time I will improve upon this adding more shading to the orange fairy too. I love the paint spatter on the dress of the purple fairy, I used contrasting colours so that it stands out. I like the wings on this fairy they are more accurate to butterfly wings as it is symmetrical with the top and bottom being the same colour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like how the male fairy\u2019s hair and shoes match I also like the wings on this fairy as they are similar to how Raquel draws them. I like the lack of shading in this one while I prefer my drawings shaded I also like the smooth look as it look cleaner. I favour the eyes in the drawings above as I can add eye colours to them. I don\u2019t like the girl as I tried to draw without line art and it doesn\u2019t look as good. I also don\u2019t like the turtle neck on the drawing so I\u2019m going to stick to doing line art. This was also the first fairy I coloured which is why it has a natural skin tone and no wings I don\u2019t like it as much because the wings are missing along with the natural colours you can\u2019t tell that this is a fairy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are the fairies I used to in the cottingley fairies photo the girl in the dress originally had ponytails but was unable to keep them as they were too small to cut out. I love the design of the side facing fairy as I like the wings and the pose she is in because they look more real and relaxed. I like the sitting fairy even though she doesn\u2019t have any arms this was an experiment to see what it would look like. Next time I will make sure I to add arm because they fairy doesn\u2019t look as good.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
