Self-assessment/reflection on camera skills

what experience have you had before?

I’ve had a lot of experience with different types if cameras, ranging from simple camcorders to more completed DLSRs and more recently, I’ve had experience with using Broadcasting and cinema cameras.

One of my hobbies is photography, so through this hobby I have had experience with primarily DLSRs. I know the basic rules of composting an appealing shot using a mix of lighting, composition, shadows and colours. I also personally have a DSLR of my own for my photography and for personal videos.

What is your level of confidence when using cameras?

Depending on the type of camera my level of confidence will vary. I am very confident when it comes to using a camcorder and a DSLR, as mentioned above I own a DLSR, and as I use it for photography, which greatly boosted my confidence.

I am confident when it comes to using the broadcasting cameras, however it’s not the same level of confidence, it’s just a little lower. I know that after some time with the more premium camera’s I’ll gain some more confidence as I’m already excited to use them for future work and projects.

What would you like to learn or practice?

I would like to learn, practice and develop my skills when it comes to framing, composition and lighting. As these are key elements of capturing great and memorable images. And it will help my work stand out if I correctly implement the right techniques. I do have some knowledge about the mention areas but I want to further my knowledge.
