| Section 1: Rationale (approx. 100 words) | |
| At the start of this project I only knew how to sing but throughout the time at college I learned many different things about music, like the history of music and how to record and mix. I also learned how to play piano and my singing skills have improved.
I also learned about the history of recording and how to record in a studio.
Recording project has taught me how to mix the songs. Although I enjoyed the projects that we did on the course I decided to focus more on my performing skills because there are many things I want to improve on more on my stage presence and communication with the crowd but also to improve as a musician. I also want to improve my songwriting skills but also my piano skills. |

| Section 2: Project Concept (approx. 200 words) | |
| So, for this project, I decided to create a performance to raise money for charity with children that have cancer. I chose this because my uncle has died cause of cancer and not so long ago my grandfather has been diagnosed with cancer. I decided to do this because I want to show the development in my singing but also the development in my songwriting skills. I will mostly sing but also play some songs on piano. I also decided to perform to build up my confidence and to improve on my communicating skills and my stage presence.
For my final project, I want to show some of my culture and for this, I decided to sing some of the Slovak folk songs. I’m looking at about 2 or 3 songs. Then I decided to mix some of the Slovak pop and English pop songs so I decided to perform some covers but also write my own song in both of the languages combined. For my research, I will be focusing on the theory behind the Slovak folk songs but also research about promotion and songwriting. |

| The key aspect of this project for me is making sure everything will be finished on time, and for this, I will evaluate each week on the things we have done and for this, I will set myself a target each week. | |

We will do research on Slovak folk theory, talk about the project and the setlist and also create a band name. Also, contact Candlelighters that I want to raise for their charity. Another thing I will have to do is secure a venue so we don’t need to worry about not having a place to perform at. Evaluate my research and set a target of what I have to research next. By the end of the week, I will have a brief research about the theory of Slovak folk music. This will all have to be done by 8th of March | Internet

Research, rehearsal and evaluate our strengths and weaknesses and set targets by next week. By the end of the, we should be able to play 3 songs by the end of the week. I will also focus on the promotion and start creating posters and planning out when I will give them out. Talk to any art students and ask them if they would want to create the designs for the posters.

Rehearse, continue on my original song,
Making sure we remember the 3 songs we learned last week and also learn 2 more songs. By the end of this week, we will be to play 5 songs. Make sure all the promotional material is ready by the 20th. Decide on the designs and the photos we want. |

Rehearse and evaluate, go see a choir that I will be working with and talk about the project with them, and maybe also rehearse. By the end of this week, I will have a choir and we will be able to perform the song ‘this is me’.
