On our final performance we worked as a team and everyone knew what their job role is. We set the whole stage up in less than 1 hour and we fixed our problems. One problem was that the drums weren’t picking up any sound and this was because the drum cables were plugged in the wrong plugs so Carys had to unplug everything and put it back in order. Also we had problems with the mics and cables. Overall,I think that we worked well as a group and we have been very organised and helped each other out with setting everything up and making sure everything is in the right place and there aren’t any trip or fire hazards.We all worked hard for this project and tried our best.
My job role was taking care of the cameras and record each performance I was recording the singers I recorded 4 bands.The recording wasn’t hard but at the start I struggled to move the camera because the tripod was too tight so I had to loosen the tripod so I can move the camera more and film more angles .I also had record a a duet which was a little bit harder because I needed to focus on both singers and make sure both of them are in the frame but also to focus on the singer that’s singing their part. The duet was hard to film because the singers had to be 2m apart and therefore it was hard for them to be in the frame so I had to move the camera and zoom in and out to make sure they are both in the frame.
Performance wise we had to record our songs twice because we forgot to introduce our band. In the first take I played some of the chords wrong for Oh Pretty Woman, however, I’m glad we recorded the performance again because in my opinion it sounded much better and I also didn’t make any mistakes. From the singing point of view I memorised all the lyrics for the song Edge Of Great. I usually used to read the lyrics as I never memorised all the lyrics from other songs I did. However, I practised and learned how to sing without any lyrics. For my solo performance I performed 2 songs I sang ‘All I Ask’ by Adele and one of my originals called ‘Everything Around Me ‘. I really enjoyed performing and I think that my performance sounded pretty good.
Overall, I think that the performance turned out pretty good and that we all tried hard. I think that my performance both solo and group performances turned out pretty good and that the audience will like it. I enjoyed both of the performances and I also enjoyed filming. This project taught me a new skill and this can help me sometime in future. Lastly, I believe that the performance was very successful as we all tried our best and from the filming point of view I think we all did a pretty good job as this was our first time making a project like this.
