| Section 1: Context (approx. 300 words) |
| When I started on this course, I only had experience with performing and singing. I knew very little about music and did not really have an idea of what I want to do after I finish studying. The first day in college I got put in a band and that was my 3rd time singing in a band as I usually used to perform as a solo artist. I have learned have to work with other people and share different ideas with each other. I have learned about live performance and how to set up a life performance how to work on a mixing desk. The first project taught me what I could do if I chose to be in a band or work backstage and set up live performances. Every project I have done in these past years has gave me an opportunity to choose what I want to with my life after college. When I started studying music I could only sing. However, now I can play piano and accompany myself I can write my own songs which was my biggest struggle and now I can write a song within a day, I can also set up a life performance, compose songs, work with different music apps like Ableton or Logic. I also learned how to video edit and record. This course gave me so many opportunities to choose from so I decided to choose something I am really passionate about something I love to do and that is create my own music. For this project I had trouble deciding what I will do due to COVID I had to think of other ways to present my work if we did not get back into college. I was thinking about recording my own music at home and then releasing it on Spotify or SoundCloud. However, my strongest idea was to create a performance in college where I would perform 4 of my original songs and 2 covers. I also think about working with other people to accompany me. I can perform in the cafeteria in front of a small audience and record the performance and upload it on Digital Space. |
| Section 2: Research (approx. 50 words) |
| For my research I will mostly focus on the lyrics if they make sense and if they have a meaning behind them. I want my songs to have a meaning behind every song I write. I will investigate other artists and focus on their lyrics and stories behind them. It will be very similar as project 3 I will use evidence from project 3 and different websites but also videos from the artists talking about their songs. E.g.- Genius, YouTube, Wikipedia |
| Section 3: Problem solving (approx. 100 words) |
| I can face many challenges throughout this project like no one will want to accompany me so I will have to have a back-up plan and perform by myself. If I wont be able to perform I will need to borrow equipment from college and record everything from home. I will also need to ask someone if they can mix my songs for me so I can release them after. I need to do this before hand so if anything goes wrong I always have a backup plan and I know how to fix it. |

| In order to successfully complete my project and to not get distracted throughout it I will give myself targets each week and try to complete them regularly. I will write everything down and have a clear schedule of what I want to do each week. I will practice almost everyday and I will try to improve on my songs and ask for advice. |
| Section 5: Practical skills (approx. 100 words) |
| I want to improve as a songwriter but also as a pianist so I can accompany myself when I want to perform. I want my songs to make sense and to have a meaning behind each song I write. I want to look confident in what I am doing, and this acquires a lot of practice and a lot of hard work. To achieve this, I will try to practice every day and also try to improvise and find new ways of singing my songs maybe coming up with a melody and then improvise from there and add my own extra notes in there. |

| For my evaluation I will try to write everything down so I know how far I have come in this project I will write about my songs and research about other artists. I will give myself targets each week to complete and write every problem I face down. I will reflect on every detail in my project like rehearsals and improvements on my songs. I want to write everything down for my evaluation and make sure I write it in as much as detail as a I can. |

| I will present my written work on digital space every research my weekly targets and evaluation will be posted on digital space. However, for my performance I want to perform in front of a small audience and record it but also post it on YouTube. I think that I will end up working with Carys as she is taking care of most of the performances. I will try to promote my performance by posting on YouTube and Instagram but also let other people know like family and friends. |
